Anyone who cares to read the book as she shares diverse lifetime lessons she has picked up from experience.

The book was first published in 2009 by Virago press and is a letter to all the daughters she never had but longed to have. It’s funny that a few weeks back, I was confessing that I only want sons, and when I saw the title to this book, I decided to see what she was telling her daughter. I’m sure you’ll feel the same way after this review and when you get round to reading the book. I started reading this book yesterday and it sure felt like Maya was writing to me. I hope you’ll join me on this expedition as we (Ugandans) wait for the masks to be manufactured so that we can start moving around. I’ve been binge reading these remarkable biographies and it’s been an astounding journey getting to know each of the authors away from what’s on the open internet. It’s been less than two days since the last review.
